What is roo and how does it work?
roo is your own AI-powered personal assistant for all things food. After a quick sign-up form and an onboarding session, you simply text roo: "plan dinners for the week," "we need milk and berries," "the usual from Chipotle," "a table for four Friday at 7." roo knows your household, stores, restaurants and preferences, does the planning and ordering, and checks in with you before anything is purchased.
How much does it cost?
There's a one-time setup fee of [$2,000]. It covers reviewing your sign-up form, building your personalized roo, connecting it to your stores and services, and your onboarding session. There's no monthly my roo fee. If you'd like extra help later, it's available at [$300/hour].
Separately, you pay these directly, just as you do today: your Grok subscription (the AI that powers roo), your groceries and restaurant orders, Instacart, DoorDash or other delivery services and their delivery and service fees, and tips. my roo never marks up your orders.

What services do I need to sign up for?
- A Grok subscription (roo runs on it).
- Accounts with the stores you want roo to shop, plus Instacart and/or DoorDash as needed. We'll help you set up anything you don't have during onboarding.
- Reservation apps like Resy and OpenTable if you'd like roo to book tables.
You keep your own payment methods saved securely in each store's or app's wallet. You never text card numbers or passwords to roo.

Is my information private and secure?
Yes. We only collect what roo needs to help your household, and we never sell your information. Payment cards stay in each store's own secure wallet, and you should never text card numbers or passwords. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What does my roo store about me?
my roo itself doesn’t keep or store any usernames, passwords, or roo conversations. Your logins stay in your own secure grok bot vault, behind your own grok bot login, and your conversations stay in your own grok account. The only thing my roo stores is the information you give in the sign-up form.
Which stores and restaurants does roo work with?
roo works with most major grocery stores and delivery platforms in the Charlotte area, including Wegmans, Harris Teeter, Costco Same-Day, Whole Foods, Instacart and DoorDash, plus reservation platforms like Resy and OpenTable and pet retailers like Chewy, Petco and PetSmart. A few stores block online assistants, and we'll tell you up front if one of yours is affected.

What if roo makes a mistake?
roo checks with you before it spends money, so you can catch most issues before an order is placed. AI isn't perfect, and stores and apps change often, so please review what roo sends you, especially anything involving allergies. How long does setup take?
The sign-up form takes about [10–15] minutes. Your onboarding session takes about [60–90] minutes, and most families are texting roo the same day.

About
Why I started my roo
my roo started at our own kitchen counter. Between work, kids, activities and everything else, my wife was carrying the mental load of feeding our family: planning meals, keeping track of what everyone would actually eat, filling online carts, remembering who's allergic to what, booking dinner out, and making sure the dog didn't run out of food.
I built roo to take that off her plate. It started as a simple text thread, "can you plan dinners this week?", and grew into an assistant that knows our stores, our favorite recipes and our usual orders, and just handles it.
It gave us back hours every week, and more importantly, it gave my wife back some headspace. I started my roo so other families can have the same thing.
